Official Page! At WJH our number one focus is our students! WJH has a reputation for academic achievement, high expectations, and academic rigor. The Wasatch Jr.
High School community is dedicated to providing engaging academics and enriching experiences. Wasatch Junior High opened in 1959. In 1962, enrollment reached a peak of 1,559 students. In July, 2005, the building was destroyed by a devastating fire. From 2005 – 2008, Wasatch students attended school with neighboring Churchill Junior High. Three years later, in August, 2008, the new Wasatch opened its doors to 820 students.

We had an awesome first week for the Souper Bowl of Caring! Students who donated got to throw a pie or do face paint on a SBO/Student Rep or a faculty member. Please consider donating, all proceeds go to helping families in Granite School District. To donate, scan the QR code found in Ms. Basso’s weekly email.

Churchill Junior High, Evergreen Junior High, and Wasatch Junior High are teaming up for the Souper Bowl of Caring- a student-led effort to help fight hunger in our community. The Souper Bowl of Caring is a nationwide campaign leading up to the Super Bowl that helps raise funds to provide food for students who need extra support right here in Granite School District. For some students, weekends can be uncertain. This campaign helps ensure students have access to food so they can return to school ready to learn. More details- and ways to support- coming soon. The campaign will officially start on January 26th!

Newsies Auditions are just a week away!
If you want to be in Newsies, make sure to attend Dance Auditions on December 11th from 3-5pm! Students who are called back will be asked to stay till 5:30pm. If you have to leave before 5pm, please talk to Ms. Emily Thompson.
Starting after school tomorrow, students can sign up for a speaking role audition time and also pick up an audition packet.
