We had the best morning celebrating our graduates in Minneapolis!

Our ceremony today included:

- Hearing from our incredible graduate speakers, Kaytlyn, Khalid, Carmen, and Zain
- Special fanfare, including our favorite balloon drop to send our graduates off
- Our anthem singer Engolia with beautiful vocals
-Hearing from our keynote speaker and WGU alum, Shayla Drake, sharing her experiences with us about how her life changed overnight and how her degree with WGU helped her find her new path.

"My path to earning an MBA in IT Management wasn't a straight line. It was the next step in a journey driven by curiosity and a desire to bridge technology with the people it serves.

I came to WGU already holding a BS in Software Development and an MS in Cybersecurity from the same university, but I realized that building and securing technology wasn't enough. I wanted to understand how to lead with it.

Between running my own web development company, Leucocholy Media, where I manage e-commerce platforms for non-profit organizations, and serving as president of the Central Athletic Official's Association, where I chair the technology and social media subcommittee for IHSOLA, I saw firsthand how much organizations need leaders who can speak both the language of technology and the language of strategy. The MBA gave me that fluency.

What drives me is the belief that learning never stops and that the most meaningful work happens when you bring your whole self to it. I'm someone who balances building a startup for remote workers, supporting my wife as she pursues her dream of publishing cozy mystery novels, volunteering in my community through sports officiating and a personal initiative called , and now pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration at Franklin University, where I'm researching AI's impact on software development.

The MBA wasn't a finish line. It was the foundation that gave me the confidence and competencies to take on bigger challenges, lead more effectively across every role I fill, and keep pushing toward what's next."

Richard B. is a shining example of continuous learning. It was wonderful to celebrate him during our commencement weekend in Louisville earlier this year!
