ISS CLOSES AT 4PM TODAY- Thurs, Aug 29

Due to the first UTES FOOTBALL GAME TONIGHT, everybody that isn't attending the game is encouraged to leave campus in the mid-afternoon if possible. (Traffic and parking will be CRAZY!) The ISS (International Student & Scholar Services--formerly the Int'l Center) is closing at 4pm today. If you need to see us today, please plan accordingly.

NOTE TO NEW STUDENTS WHO STILL NEED TO ATTEND IMMIGRATION and/or DOCUMENT CHECK IN (or CURRENT STUDENTS WHO NEED TO ATTEND A MAKE-UP SESSION)
If you'll be attending the Immigration session, it starts PROMPTLY at 1pm, so be sure you're inside the doors of Union 403-- Pano East by 12:55.
The document check-in is from 2-3:15pm. Please give yourself about 45 minutes for this process.

Open Enrollment is today! If you are non-degree seeking student that means you can start registering into Fall 2013 classes now! For all students-please be sure that as an undergraduate that you register into at least 12 credits (full time) that is required for immigration. Classes are filling up fast, so better to register now than wait later.

International Student & Scholar Services is looking for short films from YOU about your experience here at the U of U and/or your home country. We will be showing these films before International Movie Night during Welcome Week on Wednesday August 28th @ 5:00pm in the Goulde Auditorium at the Marriott Library. We will be showing "Night Watch"! It's a great zombie movie and afterwards, there will be Zombie Tag!

If YOU have any videos you have made, PLEASE message or email [email protected] so we can coordinate to show your video. We hope to get a lot of films from you! The deadline will be August 1st.

We have been notified of a new scam specifically targeting international students. The caller claims to be from United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and asks students to complete their pending application (or other requests) by sending money immediately to avoid deportation. This phone number matches the USCIS toll-free number. If you receive a phone call asking for payment or to verify any information over the phone, please do NOT give them any personal or credit card information. Please contact the International Center office immediately if you receive a call requesting this information.
