The Montessori Community School enrolls students aged 3 months through 6th grade offering a uniquely authentic Montessori curriculum. The Montessori method of teaching aims for the fullest possible development of the whole child, ultimately preparing him for life's many rich experiences.
We are excited about the inaugural Upper Elementary Market of the year. Our UE students have been working hard to get prepared. We appreciate the many donations and consignment items by our community members. Come check it out and support the Upper Elementary year end Adventure trip!

We have chicks!! For the last couple weeks eggs have been incubating in our lobby. Upper Elementary students candled them around the 7th day finding that most of them were likely fertilized and developing into chicken embryos. A couple days ago we started seeing them pipping (where the egg tooth creates a chip in the shell). Today they started emerging from their shells. As of 11:45am we had three chicks. There are a couple staff checking in on them over the weekend. The chicks will remain in the incubator for a couple days then they will be moved to a brooding area where they can stay warm, be safely observed and taken care of. Miss Allison from the Magnolias class, who has set this all up for our students, will take them home in the coming weeks.

For Earth Day this year, butterflies that first entered the Sequoias class, one of our Early Childhood rooms, as caterpillars took flight amongst a moment of mindfulness, poetry, and music.

Celebrating a season of gratitude and kindness! Students have been applying practical life skills and grace and courtesy lessons to prepare for and host gratitude feasts, present at the all-school showcase, and create decorations for the Sarah Daft Home.
