Hello everyone, it is about that time in the school year when we have to start looking for next year's leadership for the Gamecraft. This year really flew by and was a total blast for us officers. We won't be gone just yet, but we will be starting the application phase today. If any of you members are looking to take up a leadership position to see what it is like to manage a student organization I highly encourage you to join. Officer positions are great to grow and show your dedication, drive, and passion in games to companies that are hiring! Some brief overviews of the current positions that we have.

President: The student officer in charge of delegating responsibilities to other officers, arranging events and scheduling with the EAE department and making sure Gamecraft's visions and goals for the year are met.
Recruiter: In charge of making sure that Gamecraft is taking advantage of most opportunities on campus, be it either Plazafest, putting up flyers or boothing at other events.
Event Coordinator x 2: Comes up with the topics and or manages the weekly events, also in charge of arranging the larger events such as Gamejams or Portfolio Reviews.
Treasurer: Manages and comes up with ways to use the club budget, whether it be trip spending for GDC or general reimbursement from ASUU.

Officer Applications will go on for roughly two weeks ending on next weeks Friday the 15th so feel free to think about what position would be good for you and or if you're available to do it. Afterward, voting will be held until the 28th. Good luck to those of you who are applying and don't be afraid to apply for multiple positions!

This year was a total blast! And to send it off for the club, will be a showcase of everyone's hard work and effort! Here in this post is a small snapshot of the projects our member's have been working on throughout all of 2018. At the bottom of this post is a google slides presentation on everyone's contributions including those who aren't listed on this post, we have everything from games, more art and design so be sure to check it out!

We would not exist without such passionate, hard working and talented individuals such as you creating content for yourself and for others to enjoy, Gamecraft and it's officers thank you and wish you happy holidays and a happy new year!

First guest speaker for EAE of the 2018 year! Big thanks to all members who showed up and an even bigger thanks to Adam Stevens from Valve Corporation to talk to us about UI/UX design!

It will be from 4-5 in the Marriott Library Room 1160 where we will go over club specifics and end off with a brainstorming session to get our minds back on track towards games. Welcome all Freshman students and new members! We're so excited to introduce ourselves to you. Plazafest is this Wednesday 9:00 - 4:00 and we'll be hosting a booth to greet anyone who drops by. Don't be shy to make some new connections along the way!

Final Reminder: today is the last day to apply to be a 2018-2019 Gamecraft Officer. We'll close applications tonight and open the election Friday. Anyone can apply so if you're interested fill it out tonight!

We will be accepting Officer Applications until Mar 14th at Midnight! The election will open on Mar 16th.

There are six officer positions up for election: President, Treasurer, Technology Manager, Recruiter, and 2 Event Coordinators. If you have any questions about any of these positions or about the application process feel free to ask here or message an officer!
The positions in short:

President - Fills out all the non-financial paperwork with ASUU, Communicates with EAE Faculty to set up schedules/locations, works to make sure the club keeps running smoothly.

Treasurer - Handles the financials, makes sure there's money for food at Game Jams and arranges to have other club expenses reimbursed in part or full. Expenses include posters/supplies for Plazafest, GDC passes, and additional Game Jam expenses.

Technology Manager - Keeps Gamecraft's digital presence running smoothly, manages the Discord, Facebook, and any other media pages make sure whatever space we're using has the software we need.

Recruiter - Spreads the word about Gamecraft, visits classes, sets up posters, handles Plazafest each semester.

Event Coordinators - Make all the arrangements for Game Jams, actively look for Guest Speakers and schedule them to visit.
