Iğdır'daki kuş araştırma çalışmalarının 2025 sezonu, 11 bin 298 kuşun halkalanmasıyla sona erdi. KuzeyDoğa Derneği tarafından, Doğa Koruma ve Milli Parklar Genel Müdürlüğünün izniyle Tuzluca ilçesine bağlı Yukarı Çıyrıklı köyündeki Aras Kuş Cenneti'nde kuş araştırma çalışmalarının bu yılki etabı tamamlandı. Gönüllülerce sürdürülen bu yılki çalışmalarda, 117 türden kuşlar ayaklarına halka takılmasının ardından doğaya salındı. Çoğunluğu göçen türlerden olan kuşlar, kıtalar arası yolculuklarına devam etti.

In our new paper, led by Juan Serratosa, 1704 deaths of 45 large, migratory bird species we tracked show that human-caused deaths are more than natural deaths. Majority of deaths are from electrocution (40.5%), illegal killing (21.7%) & poisoning (16.3%).

Mammal responses to global changes in human activity vary by trophic group and landscape - Nature Ecology & Evolution Analysing camera-trap data of 163 mammal species before and after the onset of COVID-19 lockdowns, the authors show that responses to human activity are dependent on the degree to which the landscape is modified by humans, with carnivores being especially sensitive.
