Last night was a memorable evening, celebrating the educators and partners making an impact across Utah!

The The University of Utah undergraduate Elementary Education program earned an “A” grade in the 2026 National Council on Teacher Quality review for reading preparation 📚

That means future teachers at the U are being prepared with the evidence based skills that children need to become strong readers 🧐

At a time when early literacy matters more than ever, this recognition reflects the College of Education’s commitment to preparing teachers who are ready to make a difference in Utah classrooms from day one.

🔴 Stronger teachers.
🔴 Stronger readers.
🔴 Stronger futures!

A few more moments from the Ed.D. Higher Education Leadership and Administration Campus Immersion.

Across the multi-day experience, students, faculty, alumni, and higher education leaders came together for conversation, reflection, learning, and connection.

Centered on the theme of Sustainability and Leadership, the immersion created space for participants to engage with big ideas, build community across cohorts, and reflect on what meaningful leadership looks like in higher education today.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this experience possible! 🙏🏻

Earlier this week, the University of Utah College of Education met with PBS Utah to discuss opportunities for collaboration and our shared commitment to improving youth literacy across the state.

We’re grateful for the chance to connect with partners who believe, as we do, that literacy is foundational to learning, opportunity, and lifelong success. We look forward to exploring ways we can work together to support young learners, families, and educators throughout Utah.
