Futuroscope, Compagnie des Alpes
📍Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France
The largest fulldome theater in France is now home to a dinosaur.
Cosm collaborated with Compagnie des Alpes to transform the iconic OMNIMAX theater at Futuroscope, the theme park in Nouvelle-Aquitaine open since 1987, into the new T-Rex Ride. Guests now watch one of history’s most fearsome predators on a full hemispheric screen.
The upgrade includes a 24-meter NanoSeam screen, a Digistar projection system, Christie Griffyn 4K50 projectors, and a 3D spatial sound system. Combined, they make this the largest fulldome theater in France and one of the largest in Europe.

Dark energy just went interactive. On August 5, Cosm hosted its first live interactive Domecast, connecting 13 Digistar sites worldwide for a real-time look at the DESI Survey's map of the universe.
DESI Scientist Dr. Kyle Dawson from the The University of Utah took audiences through five years of data: 47 million galaxies and quasars, mapped into the largest high-resolution 3D map of the cosmos ever built. From Digistar domes across the globe, viewers flew through billions of light-years of cosmic structure and traced dark energy's influence across 11 billion years.
Using Digistar's new enhanced Domecasting, audiences at every connected site could ask Dr. Dawson questions live. Kids were among the most engaged, pushing to understand what dark energy actually is and how scientists mapped something invisible.
This is what Digistar's global network makes possible, and it's just the first of many.
