This Memorial Day, we pause to remember those who gave so much so that we could live freely. Among the greatest gifts of that freedom? The ability to make choices - for our families, our futures, and our children's education. School choice is one small but meaningful way we honor the spirit of what they fought for.

That spirit was on full display earlier this month when Madison Biedermann, Acting Chief of Staff for the U.S. Department of Education, visited George Washington Academy in St. George, Utah as part of the "History Rocks! Trail to Independence Tour" — a nationwide initiative tied to America's semi-quincentennial celebration.

This small but mighty, Waldorf-inspired school is dedicated to preparing students for success in both career and life by cultivating their academic, artistic, and practical skills. They are currently accepting students for the 2026–2027 school year.

🎓 Big news for Utah charter schools! Five charter school students have been named Daniels Scholars by the Daniels Fund one of the most prestigious and comprehensive college scholarships in the country.

Charter schools serve just 13% of Utah students, yet 1 in 3 of this year's Utah Daniels Scholars came from a charter classroom. That's something to celebrate!

We can hardly believe its been a week since we visited the incredible Esperanza Elementary School for their Wellness Day. They danced, sang and heard a motivational message from First Lady Abby Cox.

One thing she said that touched us all was: "Years ago, when I was a young parent, someone told me I’d never be prepared for the love I’d feel for the people who love my children. That’s why the parents of your students love you, because you love their kids."

Teachers ShowUp. And they make a huge difference in student wellness everyday.
