Curriculum to the Core

We constantly have wishful hopes and dreams for our children. We want them to be strong, we want them to be smart, we want them to to succeed. I am always telling my husband I want Miles to be kind.

Fred Rogers has such a special place in my heart. I love this quote. If we want our children to be successful we need to start teaching them to be kind. Children learn by our examples. It’s time for us to make a point to show them what being kind looks like.

Miles and Olive are slowly starting to embrace each other, Miles more so than Olive. Olive is an 8 year old pug who is almost completely blind. She may be afraid of Miles but she’s starting to show a slight interest.

We spent the weekend up in Park City to visit with Adams family. Miles and I hung out and enjoyed the views with Bubbie Suz while the rest enjoyed the slopes.

Ski weekend! Well for my husband and his family, Miles and I will be enjoying Park City and doing our best to stay warm and cozy.

Am I the only one who stresses about packing for a baby? We’re only going 30 minutes away for 2 days.

I know I’m missing some things, so help me out moms! What else will I need?

I absolutely love reusing and repurposing anything around the house, especially if it’s something for Miles.

What I love even more was that my husband was the one to suggest giving him his old keyboard as a sensory toy! 🥰

Not only is this a great tactile/sensory activity to promote fine motor skills this is also a great way for Miles to have exposure to letters and numbers! Literacy and sensory skills? Yes please!

If you couldn’t tell by my stories lately, Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. I hope you are all enjoying Miles Valentines of the Day. You can see all of them in a highlight.

To celebrate and get ready we made these adorable Valentines to send to our family and friends. This project was so much fun. Miles enjoyed dancing in the paint, which was a great sensory play for him.

How Is he almost a half a year old!?

This was one of our only football theme onesies for the super bowl today.

Who are you rooting for?

A week ago I talked about how younger babies love high contrast colors especially black and white. Today I made Miles a family tummy card set!

One side is just So when he travels Miles can spend some time focusing on him. The other side is Miles grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousin!

I did this for two reasons. 1- we live far away from our family and this will help Miles become more familiar with their faces. 2-the contrasting black and white colors will help build Miles visual development.
