I forgot to post this summer camp. It was our art camp and we focused on all kinds of print making. It was fun to make individual pieces of art, but also one piece that was layers of the various print making types.
We have a strong emphasis on books and the excitement their contents create.
A preschool for 4 year olds that fosters learning through the best elements of childhood: eagerness to learn, exploration and discovery, storytelling, art, music, and play.

That’s a wrap in summer camps! We finished up with a Toy Story day and a Mickey & friends day.

First day of Disney camp was Moana themed! The kids (and us) survived the heat and will be back for 2 more days of fun. 🌴 🌊 🌺

Today was our last day of “Scout Camp,” which just might be our favorite one yet (hard competition with the art camps over the years). I have more to share later. (Inspired by earlylearning.com - lucky for me I was cleaning out my pantry and had a cardboard tray from a bulk can purchase I no longer needed and saw it was SO perfect for this project.)

Last day art show and performances! The kids were so proud and so very supported. I’m ever grateful that this is my job. ♥️

Summer camps are filling up fast! I have one special camp for older kids who said goodbye to preschool years ago. This one’s good fun with a variety of media types.

The rain stayed away for our farm field trip! It was still chilly, but we enjoyed looking at the animals and learning new things about them.

I love when we talk about environmental print. Even more awesome is when the kids try copying the words on the chalkboard. It’s a fun way to practice writing skills, but it also works their shoulders, wrists, and arms, making it good for large motor skills too. And, if that isn’t enough, it also helps with better grip on the writing utensil. The kids just care that they are writing cool things, but the teacher eye sees so much more is going on.

Just a little work on those 10 frame skills.
