This week: We will be partnering with Save Our Canyons for a hike and trail stewardship project in Millcreek Canyon at Bowman Fork. Students should arrive at SLCSE by 9:00 AM sharp on Wednesday morning. We expect to return to the school for pick-up at approximately 2:00 PM.

Some projects have limited space due to transportation and supervision needs, so be sure to reserve your spot before spaces fill up.

Once sign-ups are complete, detailed information for each activity will be shared through a dedicated ParentSquare group for participating students and families.

We are excited to invite you to a FREE Beginner English as a Second Language (ESL) class this summer! Whether you are looking to improve your English skills or just getting started, this class is a wonderful opportunity — and it's open to everyone in the community!

📍 Where: Rose Park Community Learning Center

📅 When: Every Tuesday, June 9th – July 14th

🕐 Time: 8:15 AM – 10:15 AM

No sign-up needed ahead of time, simply come to class to register! It's that easy.

This is a great chance to build your English skills, meet your neighbors, and feel more confident in your daily life. We warmly welcome adults of all backgrounds to join us.

SLCSE students and families are invited to volunteer in the school garden this summer. Student leadership intern opportunities are also available. Leadership interns will help guide and support student volunteers during gardening projects throughout the summer.

Great experience for resumes, scholarships, and future opportunities — while spending time outside and making a positive impact. 💚🌱🍄‍🟫🫛

No gardening experience needed — just come ready to help and learn.
