Utah home sales dropped about 17% in August while the median sales price rose about 26% to $455,000. Even though the market has calmed from the white-hot conditions earlier this year, buyers still face a competitive housing market with only 1.2 months of inventory - a number indicative of a strong seller's market. Average Sales Price of properties are up 36.3% in 2021 YTD in comparison to 2020 YTD.
The UAR released the June Monthly Market Indicators report today, which shows the median price of Utah homes sold increased more than 30% in June to a new record high of $450,000.
That’s an increase of $105,000 from the June 2020 median of $345,000. It is also the 111th consecutive month of year-over-year median sales price increases.
