Optimization made ridiculously fast.
Kahlert School of Computing Associate Professor Pavel Panchekha and colleagues have created "egg," an open-source toolkit that replaces massive, tedious compiler design with just a few lines of code.
Already adopted across the tech industry—from hardware design at Intel to deep learning—egg is helping developers build faster, more efficient software in a fraction of the time.

It's a self-driving lab that fabricates quantum devices, tests them, and uses AI to decide what to build next—and it's accessible from anywhere in the country!
This facility will allow scientists anywhere in the country to design and run real quantum materials experiments via the internet.

Researchers at the Price College of Engineering just unveiled a holographic 3D printer that fuses complex shapes in a single shot, taking only about 20 seconds!
Led by Professor Rajesh Menon, the team uses a nanoscale "mask" to guide laser light into precise holographic patterns, avoiding the leaky seams of traditional 3D printing. The resulting microstructures are so precise they can transport liquids and are tough enough to withstand intense compression.
