3MT 2023 registration is now OPEN!
Participating in 3MT is a great chance to practice and improve oral communication skills as you hone a three minute presentation about your research that is targeted to a non-specialist audience. The training starts January 30th and involves one week of individually paced work, two meetings that are a chance to get and give feedback, and creation of a final 3MT entry video. Participants selected from these entries will compete in the final showcase --a live event.
There will be cash prizes for winners and swag for participants. The student chosen as the first place winner will be invited to compete in a regional competition held in Portland, OR at the end of March.
Registration will close at 5:00 PM on Friday, January 13th.

"Whether you remain on campus during the break or not, the U is here for you. Student Affairs and the University Counseling Center have invested in an app called My SSP (My Student Support Program). My SSP provides students with immediate and/or ongoing confidential, 24-hour support, year-round for any school, health or general life concern at no cost to the student. Students can call or text a licensed counselor from their cell phones at any time, in several languages, regardless of their location."

CTLE 6510 Cyber Pedagogy
Online
Converting a successful in-person classroom course into an online environment involves much more than uploading course material to the institution's educational technology platform. Online teaching requires a different way of thinking about educational objectives; relationships with and between students; content organization and presentation; and, the interface between teacher, student and technology. This course introduces instructional technology paradigms by exploring principles of online learning; offering examples of instructional technology best practices; and, providing participants the opportunity to experiment with designing their own online strategies, techniques and approaches. https://student.apps.utah.edu/uofu/stu/ClassSchedules/main/1234/sections.html?subj=CTLE&catno=6510
