The event featured the live fusion of electroacoustic music, visual art, literature and dance inspired by Afrofuturism. Dancers from West High School performed alongside students in the U’s Electroacoustic Ensemble and English 5225 class. Joined by acclaimed producer, composer, and professor of computer music at UC San Diego, King Britt.

On the weekend of the second edition of the SONIC MATTER Festival, December 3 and 4, 2022, electroacoustic music and noise will be presented in a listening lounge at the Kunstraum Walcheturm in Zurich and around the clock on SONIC MATTER_radio. The program will range from historical to current works. We cordially invite composers and sound artists of all ages and backgrounds to submit their compositions for the listening lounge! The DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS is AUGUST 15, 2022.

Am Wochenende des zweiten SONIC MATTER Festivals, dem 3. und 4. Dezember 2022, werden in einer Hörlounge im Kunstraum Walcheturm Zürich und rund um die Uhr im SONIC MATTER_radio Arbeiten aus den Bereichen elektroakustische Musik und Noise präsentiert. Das Programm soll von historischen Werken bis zum aktuellen Schaffen reichen. Wir laden Komponist*innen und Klangkünstler*innen aller Altersstufen und jeder Herkunft sehr herzliche ein, eigene Beiträge für die Hörlounge einzureichen! EINSENDESCHLUSS ist der 15. AUGUST 2022.
