This sparkler is bright, but not bond by singularity. The zingy citrus and ripe apple give it dimension and the bubbles bring it home.
dates back to 1114 making it the oldest wine estate in Austria, it’s safe to say they know what they are doing!
Good news! It’s available at the DABS

Our Wines of France puzzle inspired us to open one of our Provincial treasures. Enjoying with its blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cabernet Sauvignon perfectly aged for 18 months in of course French oak. Magnifique 🥰

Took a little road trip to Pleasant View to check out with yesterday.
Hidden away up North is an unexpected beauty. The tasting room is chic, moody and inviting with cozy crushed velvet couches and snuggly chairs. No expense was spared with the decor and especially with the wine making equipment. Definitely state of the art!!
As we worked our way through the tasting menu, Nate guided us through each wine. Especially enjoyed the sparkling rosé. The charcuterie board was expertly curated and we devoured every morsel.
So excited for what is to come! Their estate wines. Yes, grapes grown in Northern Utah! Hybrids that are designed to withstand our cold winters. Stayed tuned for their eminent release!
It’s @47 minutes from SLC, but it’s worth the drive! When their patio opens in a few weeks, it will be the perfect spot to enjoy some of Utah’s expressions of wine with the backdrop of the beautiful mountain views.
Cheers!

Tried for the first time…definitely not the last. We did a little run through the menu starting with the root chips & dip. The dip is rich and delicious. Next, the Tuna Tataki-just wow. These were accompanied by inventive and flavorful cocktails. We chose the Pisco Sour and the cleverly named Can I Kick It.
Onward to the unbelievably tender, melt in your mouth, fall off the bone Korean Style BBQ Baby Back Ribs. I could’ve ordered a second and even a third order of those. Then we rounded out the savory with some fries and Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes. Can’t pass up dessert but needed something a little off the wall so we ordered the Affogato-Tini. Ice cream topped with an espresso martini….could’ve used a little more ice cream but it was still delicious.
Highly recommend this place and can’t wait to eat my way through the menu again.

Next time I feel down I’ll just ask myself “what would Liz do?”

Popped into last night. Loved the selection of wines, both by the glass and bottle, the cocktails and small bites. We enjoyed a Pinot Noir from Willamette and a Merlot from Paso Robles along with their charcuterie and cheese board. Couldn’t pass up a white flight, too. A little sad they didn’t have all of the original line up but I was pleased with the substitutes.
I recommend checking this place out! Even if you’re participating in dry January, they have a great selection for you with alcohol free wines and more!
