TRIO Upward Bound is a Federally Funded program for first generation and income-eligible high school students who attend East, West, Highland, and Kearns high school. These students just finished their 6-week on campus summer academy. Students lived on the university campus, took classes, enjoyed fun activities, and prepared for life after high school.

at The Ute Indian Tribe’s Fort Duchesne Bear Dance!
We are deeply grateful to the Ute Indian Tribe for welcoming more than 40 faculty, staff, and family members from across the University of Utah to the Uintah and Ouray Reservation for the Ute Indian Tribe’s annual Bear Dance.
Hosted by the Ute Tribe Education Department, the day included lunch, a reservation tour led by Ronee K. Wopsock Pawwinnee, and an unforgettable afternoon at the Bear Dance grounds.
Days like this strengthen relationships through shared meals, stories, laughter, dancing, and time spent together.
