Calendar Reminder: Schools and offices of Wicomico County Public Schools are closed on Monday, Sept. 7 for Labor Day. We look forward to seeing everyone when schools reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

🌱 Growing Greatness Together! 🌱

We wrapped up Monday’s PD with a little planting and a BIG reminder—great things grow when we nurture them together!

Our staff planted Forget-Me-Nots as a symbol of the learning, connections, and ideas we’re carrying into the new school year.

May we water them, watch them grow, and never forget that every seed we plant today has the potential to bloom into something GREAT!

The next monthly meeting of the Wicomico County Board of Education is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2026, in the Board of Education Auditorium at 101 Long Ave., Salisbury.

For this Board meeting, the Board will convene at 6:30 p.m. and immediately vote to go into closed session. The open portion of the meeting will begin at about 7 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is available at https://wicomico-schools.community.highbond.com/Portal/

To register for public comments, please visit the pre-registration page (https://board_public_comments.wicomicoschools.org/), which is open from Sept. 1 - 7. Anyone unable to pre-register online may visit the school system office at 2424 Northgate Drive during business hours to fill out a paper copy of the pre-registration form.

We're excited to see our students for the start of the 2026-2027 school year this week! Tuesday, Sept. 1 is the first day for students in grades 1-6 and 9 (Grade 6 only at Mardela, all grades attend at Pittsville). Then on Wednesday, Sept. 2, all students in grades 1-12 will be in school. Our Prekindergarten and Kindergarten students report as assigned by the school during the first week.

Students, families, teachers and staff of Wicomico County Public Schools: Let's all have a great school year!
