The next monthly meeting of the Wicomico County Board of Education is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in the Board of Education Auditorium at 101 Long Ave., Salisbury.

For this Board meeting, the Board will convene at 6:30 p.m. and immediately vote to go into closed session. The open portion of the meeting will begin at about 7 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is available at https://wicomico-schools.community.highbond.com/Portal/

Anyone wanting to register for public comments may visit the school system office at 2424 Northgate Drive during business hours to fill out a paper copy of the pre-registration form, or you can do so beginning one hour before the Board Meeting at 101 Long Avenue.

School Status Announcement for Wicomico County Public Schools: 90-Minute Delay on Monday, March 9th

Due to inclement weather conditions, Wicomico County Public Schools will have a 90-minute delay on Monday, March 9th. Breakfast will not be served. Please be safe.

Reminder: Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday, March 8. Be sure to set your clocks ahead by one hour.

Anyone unable to pre-register online may visit the school system office at 2424 Northgate Drive during business hours to fill out a paper copy of the pre-registration form.

Reminder: Mid-term progress reports for the 3rd Marking Term come out Feb. 27. Be sure to review the student's progress report with the student and discuss expectations for the rest of the marking term and school year.

The 2025-2026 school calendar has now been revised to make up all of the days missed this year for winter weather. Wicomico County Public Schools has had three closure days for inclement weather conditions: Jan. 27 (makeup day for March 16 already announced) and Feb 23 and 24 (makeup days of April 2 and June 12 now needed). These days (March 16, April 2 and June 12) were on the approved 2025-2026 school calendar as potential makeup days. All three will now be school days with 3-hour early dismissal. Please be sure to note these calendar changes. The current versions of the 2025-2026 school calendar (dated Feb. 26, 2026) in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole are posted on the Calendar page of the school system's website.

This is a school status announcement for Wednesday, February 25th: Wicomico County Public Schools will have a 90-minute delay on Wednesday. Breakfast will not be served. Schools may provide specific information about the day’s schedule.

Important school status message from Wicomico County Public Schools. Due to ongoing inclement weather conditions, Wicomico County Public Schools and Central Office will be closed on Tuesday, February 24th. Please be safe.

Please note that this will use the final make-up day built into the approved school calendar. After this closure, Wicomico Schools will be ready to transition to a virtual instruction day the next time conditions necessitate the closure of school buildings.

Meeting date change: The Wicomico County Board of Education special meeting and work session has been moved from Tuesday morning to Thursday, Feb. 26 at 8:30 a.m.
