Wicomico County Public Schools will be closed Friday, June 19 to observe the Juneteenth holiday. The school system will reopen on Monday, June 22.

Report cards for the final marking term are available as of today (Tuesday, June 16). They are available through the Family Portal, and will also be mailed.

Pinehurst Elementary celebrated some very special staff members as they begin their next chapter...retirement!

These incredible educators and staff have dedicated countless years to supporting students, families, and colleagues, leaving a lasting impact on the Pinehurst community. Their commitment, compassion, and love for children have helped shape generations of learners.

While they will be greatly missed, we are excited for them as they begin this well-deserved new adventure. Thank you for the memories, the laughter, and the difference you have made in the lives of so many.

Our Pinehurst Panthers were proud to line the sidewalks on Monday to cheer on the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics! 💙💛🏃‍♂️🔥

Students showed their support with smiles, signs, and lots of encouragement as the runners carried the Flame of Hope through our community. It was a wonderful opportunity to teach our students about inclusion, perseverance, and the importance of supporting others.

Thank you to our local law enforcement officers and all participants for your dedication to Special Olympics and for allowing our students to be part of such an inspiring event!

Today we celebrated our Read to Succeed mentors and mentees as we wrapped up another wonderful year of reading, learning, and building meaningful connections! 📚❤️

Throughout the year, our mentors and mentees shared stories, encouraged one another, and fostered a love of reading that will last far beyond the classroom. We are so grateful to our dedicated mentors for the time, care, and support they provided to our students.
