The 2026 Nursing Academic Excellence Award to Avery Fleshood for having the highest overall GPA, and she completed nursing school in just 3 years 💯🏆

The 2026 Nursing Clinical Practice Excellence to Grace Goldstein who is an absolute natural at patient care and bedside manner!!! 🏆🩺

Students in Dr. Sweatt’s Public Health Nursing course participated today in an immersive Mass Casualty Simulation, gaining hands-on experience in disaster response, triage, and interprofessional collaboration.
This powerful learning experience was coordinated by Professor Clere, whose vision ensured a realistic, high-impact simulation that challenged students to think critically under pressure while prioritizing patient safety. Well done seniors, you demonstrated a high-level of patient care skill all while under this intense pressure! Thank you to our amazing simulated patients, and the theatre arts students who helped create realistic moulage!!
We extend our deepest thanks to our community partners who generously shared their time, expertise, and real-world insight:

* Salisbury Fire Department
* Airlink, who planned to land their helicopter and educate our students even more, but real life happened. They still showed up to speak directly with students about aeromedical response and emergency transport 🙌
Your partnership brought classroom learning to life and played a vital role in preparing our future nurses to serve with confidence, competence, and compassion.
