On Friday we had the privilege to attend research talks and posters from our students at the Spring 2026 Chemistry Department Research symposium! Each of these undergraduates has done outstanding work in their field of study and we are so proud of them!

All SU Chem & BMB majors are invited to join us on the 3rd floor Henson Balcony this Tuesday, May 12, beginning at 3:30 pm for some liquid nitrogen ice cream prepared by our graduating seniors! Non-dairy option and sundae toppings also served. See you all there!

Congratulations to Evey and Cleo who each gave talks at the Intercollegiate Student Chemists’ Convention at Ursinus College earlier this month! Cleo won an Honorable Mention for research in analytical chemistry and both met keynote speaker Dr. André K. Isaacs. Cleo’s travel was funded through a Henson Travel Award and Evey through a Ruxton Travel Award. Congratulations to both!

Chemistry and BMB majors are formally invited to the annual faculty vs students kickball ball and BBQ to be held on Sunday, May 3, from 11:00-1:00! All interested should please sign up in the chem lounge, then meet on May 3 on the lawn outside Seagull Square (see picture below). If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Danielle Provost. Obviously the faculty will win, but we look forward to humbling our beloved students.
