Last Thursday, we hosted our 2026 PACE showcase. During which, we had a wide range of different Presidential Citizens Scholars (PCS) who described a variety of different projects they have been working on throughout the last three semesters. Including things to help the community with mental health, housing, and even their overall health.

We also had a variety of community speakers discuss things they have been working on, updates that have happened, and what their plans are for the future. Including Dr. Vinita Agarwal, who discussed Salisbury University's Health Communications Class (COMM 451-551), which worked alongside the Worcester County Department of Health, to educate the youth on positive stress techniques that helped them discover positive outlets within themselves that they could take back and teach their peers. Another speaker we had was

Dr. Michele Schlehofer, who discussed the program Re-Envisioning Ethics Access and Community Humanities (REACH) as well as announced its newest move to fall under the PACE umbrella. REACH's goal is to "facilitate community-engaged conversations about ethics in a manner which fosters collaboration, transparency, accountability, and meaningful community-informed transformation".

March’s Recap: In March, we had two remaining events in the Understanding Civil Rights, U.S. Foreign Policies, Global Health, and Migration. Friday, March 6th, we had an amazing group of panelists who discussed ways we could become more informed and utilize health and human rights to promote the idea of creating change. Then on Wednesday, March 11th, we discussed ways to build paths using empathy and collective action with local representatives. In order to discuss education and the way that we can collectively come together to take action.
