Salisbury Junior Cotillion

Happy new year everyone! I sent out a cotillion information letter to all the students and their parents, so check your inbox. If you haven’t sent in your RSVP, I need it by Monday January 5 so that I can finalize my meeting with the caterer. Venmo is available as well as checks. I only recommend paying ahead of time so that you don’t have to wait in a long line at the door. We have two check in tables, one for those of you who paid ahead of time and those who still need to pay. Enjoy Halloween everyone. No class tonight, but we’ll see you next Friday, November 7 for make your own ice cream Sunday night.

This year is the 35th anniversary of Salisbury Junior Cotillion. Our fall class will begin on Friday, October 3, and end on Friday, November 20. The winter Wonderland graduation ball will be held on January 10. Parent information letters will go out the first weekend in September, so if you are interested in enrolling your daughter or son in our class, please contact us by text or email. Students from all schools are welcome in the class.. You can leave messages here on Facebook and I will respond to them quickly. We hope to see you in October.

This was an unusually large class this year, so it was challenging to get around and help each student individually. But the students worked hard and really learned a lot. Here they are working on boxstep. By the end of the class they could carry on a conversation while they were dancing. That means they really were comfortable on the dance floor

This was a wonderful group of students who have all moved on and are in college now. Nothing but happy memories. So many have come back to me over the years and told me what a beneficial experience Cotillion was for them.

Just starting work on table decorations for the winter cotillion. Snow days are good for little projects like this.

The trophies for all categories are ready. No one knows until the night of Cotillion who won. It’s so much fun as the suspense builds. See you next week!

I will be communicating with the students and families of the Cotillion class over the next few days. We are watching this developing snow system that’s headed our way. I’ve already made an alternate date for Saturday Jan. 18 in case the roads are just too difficult. By Friday afternoon, we’ll have a clearer picture of what Saturday looks like.
