Wicomico County Public Schools will be closed Friday, June 19 to observe the Juneteenth holiday. The school system will reopen on Monday, June 22.

Report cards for the final marking term are available as of today (Tuesday, June 16). They are available through the Family Portal, and will also be mailed.

The next monthly meeting of the Wicomico County Board of Education is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in the Board of Education Auditorium at 101 Long Ave., Salisbury.

For this Board meeting, the Board will convene at 1 p.m. and immediately vote to go into closed session. The open portion of the meeting will begin at about 1:30 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is available at https://wicomico-schools.community.highbond.com/Portal/

Anyone unable to pre-register online may visit the school system office at 2424 Northgate Drive during business hours to fill out a paper copy of the pre-registration form.

CONGRATULATIONS HAILEY! East Salisbury Elementary fourth grader Hailey Hernandez was a Top Reader in a Reading is FUNdamental Contest and was recognized at the 24th Annual Briddell Family Scholarship Gala and Awards Banquet this school year. However, Hailey was unable to attend the event, so on Tuesday, Briddell Family Foundation CEO Kwanza Briddell and her father James Briddell presented Hailey with the trophy for being the Top Reader at ESS.

Hernandez is also pictured with East Salisbury Principal Maria Wright. Earlier this year, East Salisbury received a $100 check and free books from the Briddell Family Foundation for its students to read.
