We are so proud of our Chemistry and Biochemistry Students. Last Friday our fantastic faculty sponsors held our annual Induction Ceremony for Gamma Sigma Epsilon - Chemistry Honor Society. We are so proud of our seniors and can't wait to see them in their honor cords.

AND this is BIG- Catawba Chemistry faculty and students opened a new chapter of Iota Sigma Pi, The National Honor Society for Women in Chemistry. We are the Neon Chapter. 🧪✨ Thank you to Dr. Saner for leading the way in the formation of this new student honor society.

This new chapter (Neon Chapter) expands mentorship, leadership, and recognition for women in chemistry—and we’re just getting started.

Last evening we had a wonderful Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society induction ceremony. New members were inducted, seniors were bestowed graduation cords, emeritus faculty returned to see a new award in their honor, The Miderski-Coggin-Beard Excellence in Research Award, and Fletcher Harris' mother was in attendance to accept his honorary membership. Thank you to Drs. Rushing and Witalison our fantastic co-advisors of our Tau Eta BBB Chapter. Today the chapter is hosting a lab coat tie dye event and this Saturday doing a stream/pond cleanup of Memorial Park in honor of Earth Day.
