When I first started school, I was always scared of raising my hand and did not want to talk. My grades were low C’s and D’s. I would cry everyday before I went to school. When I first met my Salisbury Tutoring Academy tutor I was shy. But after coming for several times, I got to know her and the work . At school my work became easier for me. I made A’s and B’s. I could not believe it.

The Executive Director, Beatrice Hair, M.A. Ed. is a graduate of Wake Forest University where she received two degrees in Education and Health and Sports Science. She received her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. She has numerous years of experience in teaching and tutoring. In 1994, she was the recipient of the CHADD award for excellence with children with Attention Deficit Disorder. She received the United States small business person of the year for North Carolina by SBA.

She also received an award for Excellence in Teaching from the Rowan-Salisbury School Board. She is gifted in helping children reach their potential. She has been honored to serve as a Keynote Speaker at national conventions for teachers.
