Please help us welcome Mrs. Amanda Fairman to the SCS family as our new 4th Grade Teacher!

A Salisbury native, Mrs. Fairman comes to us with 12 years of classroom experience and a heart for meeting every child right where they are. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary & Special Education from Messiah University, followed by a Master's in Curriculum & Instruction from Salisbury University and Master's plus 30 from the University of Phoenix.

When she isn't teaching, you'll likely find her out on a run, two half marathons and counting. It takes patience and trust to keep going mile after mile, and that same confidence shows up in the verse she carries with her, Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." It's a biblical promise she is eager to pass along to her students!

Welcome to the Jaguar family, Mrs. Fairman! We are so glad God led you here.

Orientation Week is officially underway at SCS! Our hallways are full again with familiar faces we've missed all summer and new ones we're already so glad to have on the team.

A special thank you to our PTF and our Board of Governors for providing wonderful breakfasts to start us off. Our faculty and staff felt loved and well fed, while we squeezed in a spirited round of Jeopardy! A little friendly competition, a lot of laughter, and good fellowship were had by all before the big back-to-school kickoff. (Turns out our teachers are just as competitive as our students! ๐Ÿ˜€)

The classrooms are coming together, the prayers are going up, and we cannot wait to welcome our students back. It's going to be a great year, Jaguars!

Before a single lesson plan is written or classroom door is opened, our SCS faculty and staff gather for one thing: worship. This intentional tradition sets the tone for our entire year, and this one was no exception. Our team spent the first official morning on campus in worship, listening to a message from Dr. Lamkin about our mission, vision, and biblical worldview framework, sharing communion together, and praying over every single student's name before they ever step foot on campus this year!

The morning ended with joyful celebration as we welcomed our newest employees and revealed which House they'll be a part of. What a beautiful way to begin the 2026-27 school year, rooted in two of our core values from day one: Reverence for the Lord and Relationships within our community.

Starting at a new school is exciting and opens doors for new friendships and growth for the whole family. This year, we are excited to launch our Parent Ambassador Program, with a parent representative from every grade who's ready to walk alongside our new families, welcoming them into our school community. At the end of the school year, five of our seniors (the Board of Governors Scholarship finalists) had the opportunity to attend an SCS Board meeting and share about a faculty member who has had a significant impact on their journey at SCS. These intentional, thoughtful affirmations were a surprise to all five teachers and served as a fantastic opportunity for the SCS Board to hear first-hand about the types of relationships that make SCS such a special place.

We are so very grateful for our Wicomico County Sheriff's Office! As seen in these heartwarming photos, they visited our kindergarten students during last spring's Spiritual Emphasis Day (along with a special K9 friend!), but they do so much more for our school every year, showing up in innumerable impactful ways.

Sheriff Mike Lewis and the upstanding men and women at the Sheriff's Office serve as a true partner for Salisbury Christian School, and we cannot thank them enough!
