This summer, we're launching Funny Friday Dad Jokes, featuring some of your favorite Utica Shale Academy dads sharing their best (and worst!) dad jokes each Friday.

Be sure to check back every Friday as our fellas take the spotlight and try to earn the title of Utica Shale Academy's Ultimate Dad Joke Champion!

First up, we have Mr. Hill: "Why did the golfer bring two pairs of pants??? In case he got a hole in one."

Throwback Thursday

As we continue celebrating the accomplishments of our Class of 2026 graduates, we're taking a trip down memory lane to honor the students who helped build the foundation of Utica Shale Academy.

This photo captures our Class of 2015 graduation ceremony—a special moment in our school's history and a reminder of how far we've come. Over the years, countless students have walked across this stage, overcome challenges, achieved their goals, and gone on to make a difference in their communities.

To our graduates from 2015 and every graduating class since: thank you for being part of the Utica Shale Academy story. Your success continues to inspire the students who follow in your footsteps.

An amazing opportunity for those in need!

Do you or someone you know have a child under the age of one, that is in need of a safe sleep environment?

Join us in partnership with OCPIM for a Pack-n-Play Palooza.

We will have safe sleep demonstrations.

Giveaways will include a pack-n-play, sleep sack, and pacifiers. Limited to the first 50 participants.

Another moment from graduation came when Assistant Superintendent Mrs. Laura Krulik paused before introducing the guest speaker and announced that she needed to put on her glasses to read her notes.

She then reminded the Class of 2026 that this happens to everyone eventually! With a laugh, hopefully Mrs. Krulik gave graduates a reminder that growing older isn't just about seeing less—it's about seeing what matters most!

DON'T FORGET! This summer, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce is sponsoring SUN Meals, a summer food program where Kids Eat Free! All children ages 1 through 18 are eligible to receive free meals during the summer months at participating program sites.

🌞 FOOD FOR KIDS + HOT MEAL NIGHT! 🌞

Join us this Thursday, June 4th from 4:00–6:00 PM for Food for Kids!

Food for Kids is a free program for children ages 3–18 in Columbiana County and rural Mahoning County. Children have the opportunity to shop our Children’s Choice Food Pantry, where they practice making healthy choices, build decision-making skills, increase self-esteem, and interact with positive adult role models in a safe and welcoming environment.

🍎 This Week's Hot Meal Night! 🍎

Our friends from Mt. Olivet United Church of Christ Mission Team will be on-site serving a delicious hot-off-the-grill meal for all children in attendance and their families:

🌭 Hot Dogs
🥗 Pasta Salad
🍓 Fruit

There is no cost to participate, and all eligible children are welcome!

One of the most memorable moments of graduation came when Mr. Carter Hill announced each graduate and led the class in the tradition of moving their tassels from the right side to the left.

With that simple act, the Class of 2026 officially became Utica Shale Academy ALUMNI!!!

Congratulations, Class of 2026. We are proud of you, and we can't wait to see what you accomplish next.

The 2026–2027 Utica Shale Academy School Calendar is here!

We are excited to share next year's calendar so families can begin planning ahead. The calendar includes important dates such as the first and last days of school, holiday breaks, teacher workdays, and other key events throughout the school year.

We encourage students, parents, and guardians to save a copy and refer to it throughout the year. As always, we look forward to partnering with our families to make the 2026–2027 school year a successful one!
