We are so excited to announce our newest program, Ignite!!! Ignite is a FREE after-school program designed for middle schoolers who struggle with anxiety and depression that live in or attend the Saline Area School District.

What makes this program really special is that it combines fun skill learning classes and anxiety coping skills into one curriculum.

Classes offered this fall
- Art
- Self-defense
- Crocheting
- Photography

What makes this great for kids with anxiety
- Small class sizes
- No talking in front of a group required
- Students are working with their hands which helps reduce anxiety and gives them something to focus on
- Students receive a bunch of helpful resources
- Students realize they are not alone in facing anxiety

What makes this great for parents
- It's FREE
- It's after school so no transportation is required
- Class materials are provided to students for FREE except for a digital camera that students must provide for the photography class

Classes will be once a week for 8 weeks immediately after school gets out at Saline Middle School beginning the week of September 21st.

Another Great Summer of Bridge Programs!

What an incredible summer! This year, 253 students participated in our Saline Community Education Bridge Programs: Bridge K, Bridge 4, Bridge 6, and Bridge 9!

These programs are all about helping students build connections, gain confidence, meet new friends, and get ready for the transition ahead—and we are so grateful to all of the students, families, teachers, and staff who made this summer such a success.

And we’re already getting excited for Summer of 2027!

Next year will include some pretty special milestones:

🎂 10 Years of Bridge 6 — the program that started it all!
🎉 5 Years of Bridge 4!

We are also tentatively planning to expand Bridge K next summer, with programs potentially being offered at Harvest, Pleasant Ridge, and Woodland Meadows!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Bridge Programs this summer. We loved welcoming all 253 students, and we can’t wait to continue building on these programs in 2027!
