The SWWC Culinary Arts Program was busy last week!
On the "Foods" side of the kitchen, seniors were hard at work completing their practicums. They were challenged with preparing a Tonkatsu recipe as part of a timed skills event. Afterward, both Chef Ann and Chef Rayenne provided valuable feedback, helping students refine their techniques and continue developing their culinary skills.
Meanwhile, on the "Baking and Pastry" side of the kitchen, Mrs. Stripp's kindergarten class stopped by for a special visit. The young guests enjoyed reading Cook-a-Doodle-Doo! with the SWWC students and Chef Danielle before heading into the kitchen to make their own shortcakes together. It was a wonderful opportunity for students of all ages to learn, collaborate, and have fun!

The Games for Change Student Challenge is one of the world’s leading student game design competitions, bringing together thousands of students from around the globe to create games that inspire positive social impact. Winning this category is an incredible accomplishment, as entries are judged by industry professionals on creativity, technical skill, storytelling, and overall impact using Unity — one of the game industry’s top professional development platforms.
