Saline Athletics

Monday June 29 - Sunday July 5 is out MHSAA Dead Period Week. No Athletic activities! No Saline practices, conditioning, weight room, team communication, etc. for our student-athletes and coaches. The Athletic Office will also be closed. Have a great week Hornets!

A tough 2-1 loss to Northville in the regional final ends the season for . It’s been a great season; thanks to a special senior class for all of your accomplishments!

The team beat Livonia Churchill 8-1 to advance to the Regional Final today vs Northville. The Hornets were led by solid pitching from Curtis and Mazur, while Winters had three hits, including a HR. Griffin and Onyskin also had HRs. Let’s see if the Hornets can finish the day with a win over the Mustangs!

Presenting the first-ever Sun Times News 🌟 Athlete of the Year 🌟 Keira!

Congratulations to Keira of Saline High School, the inaugural recipient of The Sun Times News Athlete of the Year Scholarship.

As the very first winner of this award, Keira received a $1,000 scholarship in recognition of her dedication, leadership, and accomplishments as a student-athlete.

First MHSAA season for came to an end tonight in the Regional Finals vs Northville. Great season, tough one tonight

The season ended in heartbreaking fashion tonight, with a 8-7 loss to Dexter in 3 OTs. The Hornets were up 4-2 at the half and 6-5 at the end of three. Dexter tied it at 7-7 late in regulation, and after two scoreless OT periods, the Dreadnaughts scored to win. It was a great season for the Hornets, who won the SEC for the 3rd straight year and finished 13-9 overall. Well done, Hornets!

The defeated Lincoln in the pre-district 15-0 behind 12 hits and a combined 2 hitter by Concannon and Raetzel. The team takes on Bedford Saturday at 10am in the District Semifinal at SHS. Go Hornets!

is going to States! Team finished 3rd today at Regionals, held at Polo Fields in a strong field of 20 schools present. Top 3 teams advance to States. States is June 5-6 at Katke (Ferris State)

Congrats to on their solid win over Plymouth, 25-12, 25-5, and 25-11. They advance in Regionals to play Detroit Catholic Central on Tuesday 5/26 at 7pm at Northville. Good luck, Hornets!
