EDS provides early learning and care environments for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years in Monterey, San Benito, Santa Cruz, and Santa Barbara County which include Family Child Care Home Educators, children’s centers, and employer sponsored programs. We have job openings and are accepting resumes and applications for Teacher Assistants/Relievers, Associate Teachers, and Lead Teachers in the Seaside

and Salinas areas. 🪅 Peninsula’s End-of-Year Fiesta!
Peninsula’s end-of-year fiesta was a wonderful celebration of all the memories made together! Our toddlers had a sweet chance to say goodbye and celebrate their favorite moments with classmates and teachers, while our infants met their new teachers to start building warm connections for the future.
Families and children had a blast decorating custom maracas, taking a swing at a fun piñata, and enjoying delicious tacos prepared by a former parent from our center. It was a festive day filled with laughter, music, good food, and strong community as we wrapped up another incredible year!

🏫 Welcoming Families at Our TK Program Open House!
Our TK Program Open House was a wonderful opportunity to welcome our new children and families! Parents met our teachers, explored the classrooms and outdoor spaces, and learned about our daily routines and program expectations.
Meanwhile, the children jumped right into exploring different learning areas, trying out hands-on activities, and getting comfortable in their new school home. It was a fantastic step toward building strong relationships and setting the stage for a fun, successful year of learning and growing together!

🦁 Young Preschoolers Explore the Zoo!
Over the past month, our Young Preschoolers have shown a growing fascination with wildlife—from exploring animal figurines and reading books to playing active, animal-themed games! To build on this excitement, our educators organized a special field trip to the zoo for a fun, hands-on learning adventure.
Observing live animals and hearing new sounds helped the children connect their favorite picture books to real-life creatures, boosting their early science and vocabulary skills. A big thank you to our parent chaperones for joining us and making this educational journey so memorable for our little explorers!

🎪 Tisztelet Carnival: Fun, Smiles, & Family Connections!
Our Tisztelet Carnival parent event was a huge success! Children and their families had a fantastic time enjoying interactive games, colorful face painting, a jump house, and delicious treats.
It was wonderful to see everyone laughing, dancing, and making memories together. Events like this build such a strong community, and we loved seeing so many bright smiles throughout the day!

🎓 CSUMB Preschool Graduation — Next Stop, TK!
The CSUMB Children’s Center proudly celebrated our wonderful preschoolers as they prepare for their next big journey to TK! Parents, families, and staff gathered to honor this special milestone together.
The children performed sweet songs for their families before proudly receiving their diplomas. Afterward, everyone captured special photos with teachers and classmates, wrapping up the celebration with delicious cupcakes and Kona Ice!
We are so proud of our graduates and wish them all the best on their next adventure. Congratulations, Class of 2026!

🎓 Celebrating the TK Highlands Class of 2026!
Our Highlands TK students celebrated their graduation at their special ceremony! It was a joyful day filled with laughter, big smiles, and proud tears as we honored everything our children accomplished this year.
Our graduates sang three special songs with confidence before proudly receiving their diplomas. Afterward, families enjoyed pizza, cupcakes, and photo ops to celebrate the milestone together.
To our incredible graduates and families, thank you for letting us be part of your learning journey. We are so proud of each child and wish them endless success as they head to kindergarten! Congratulations!

🎒 Highlands TK Shops for Kindergarten Supplies at Marina Target!
Our Highlands TK classes set off on a fun back-to-school shopping adventure at Target in Marina! Some children traveled in the school van while families met us there to join the excitement.
The children loved browsing the colorful displays and picking out their favorite backpacks and supplies. Carefully choosing their own items gave our students a fantastic boost in independence, decision-making, and confidence.
Shopping and celebrating together made this field trip a wonderful, memorable milestone as our children get ready for kindergarten!

🎒 Escalante’s 1st Backpack Shopping Trip!
This year marked Escalante Children's Center's very first Backpack Shopping Trip! We were so excited to celebrate our two children heading off to Transitional Kindergarten this fall.
We hopped into the van and traveled to Betteravia to meet up with Teacher Trisha and two other friends. From there, the group walked to Target, where each child had the fun opportunity to select their very own backpack and school supplies to prepare for their new chapter.
On the walk back to Betteravia, a delicious aroma caught our attention! The children eagerly led the way to a local donut shop, where everyone enjoyed a sweet treat before heading home.
It was a wonderful day filled with excitement, independence, and special memories. We are so proud of our future TK students and wish them all the best as they begin their next big adventure!

🎒 Big Steps Ahead: Crescita Preschoolers Get Ready for Kindergarten!
Our Crescita preschoolers recently had the exciting opportunity to select their very own school supplies for their upcoming kindergarten journey! Each child eagerly chose their own backpack and materials, fostering a wonderful sense of independence, pride, and confidence.
Learning through experiences outside the classroom helps young learners grasp abstract concepts they are just beginning to explore in school. From selecting items to taking ownership of their choices, the children thoroughly enjoyed every step of the process. Hands-on activities like this do a fantastic job of building anticipation and readiness as our little scholars get set for their big leap into kindergarten!

🍦 Celebrating a Year of Learning and Growth!

CSUMB’s end of the year celebration brought children, families, and staff together to mark a wonderful year of learning and growth! Families enjoyed snapping photos with fun props, creating vibrant art collages, and applying temporary tattoo stickers. The children were especially excited to help their parents and teachers apply the stickers, which provided a great boost for fine motor skills, confidence, and connection.
Everyone wrapped up the celebration with refreshing popsicles, sharing their favorite flavors and enjoying sweet moments together. Events like this strengthen our family-school partnerships and create joyful, lasting memories that celebrate our vibrant learning community!
