Our first full SAT Club meeting! We had 16 students today working on diagnostic drills.
Feedback was great -- kiddos said they got a lot out of it. We went over guidelines, tips and tricks, and finding the answers.

I always wonder what kind of impact my projects have on my students. And it always amazes me when something, like Jacob Bucks, becomes a meme. Every year, I ask the kids why they keep one or two instead of turning them all in for the end-of-year raffle.

So, to catch everyone up...

Last year, I had a student who decided to make me Jakey-Bakey-Eggs-and-Wakey. He tried really hard to get it to stick, but it didn't gain much, if any, traction.

This year, he's doubling his efforts. He asked some kids in my other classes to use the name. When I told him I didn't hear anyone call me that today, he grabbed a marker and wrote it on the whiteboard.

"It's going to happen!"

I am looking forward to writing his letter of recommendation.
