After a wide-ranging season, the Kansas Wesleyan Philharmonic Choir and Wesleyan Chorale are ending the academic year with a department concert with a patriotic theme, “A Salute to America.”

The free concert will be at 7 p.m. Friday, May 8, in Sams Chapel.

The choir has had a busy, productive year. Besides its regular concerts this semester, it has sung opera, comic operetta in “The Pirates of Penzance” in collaboration with Theatre Salina, and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony in collaboration with the Salina Symphony.

Final exams for students will start next week, with Commencement to be at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 16, at Tony’s Pizza Events Center in downtown Salina.
