The Director of Worship Arts is responsible for overseeing all facets of each worship service at Salina First United Methodist Church. This includes providing leadership and direction to worship personnel and teams, ensuring that every aspect of worship is thoughtfully planned and executed. The Director manages the setup and organization of worship spaces, such as stage and altar table arrangements, and supervises the technical components necessary for each worship service. A worship leader is more than a musician or coordinator-they serve as a spiritual leader who helps guide the congregation into meaningful worship. This role bridges the gap between musical ex*****on and spiritual direction.

The Next Gen Discipleship Director is responsible for cultivating and leading a dynamic and safe ministry for children, youth and family ministries, empowering parents and connecting with the community. The Director will recruit and train staff who engage with children and youth, demonstrating God’s love, teaching them God’s Word, and fostering fellowship within the church community. This foundation aims to keep children and youth engaged with their faith and church as they grow into adulthood. The Director provides prayerful, visionary leadership for the overall operation of children’s and youth ministry.

KWU Receives Grant to Grow Campus Ministry Internship Program - Kansas Wesleyan University Kansas Wesleyan announced Friday that it has received a notable two-year grant from the Council of Independent Colleges Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education (NetVUE). The grant will be used to grow KWU’s Campus Ministry internship program beginning this fall.

Injuries are never fun, but Shanya Murape ’26 finds the silver linings in her knee injuries from flag football.

“My sophomore year, after being injured, I needed something else to do,” she said.

She took a media production class, then another. Because she loves capturing sports, she added a Communication minor to her Exercise Science major.

She uses those same skills in media internships with Campus Ministry.

Starting tonight at 5 PM is our 24 hour praise and prayer holy week vigil. There will be prayer stations some live music opportunity to pray and more. Please share this with everyone. You know it will take place on the patio close to the west side entrance to the SAC
