It's that time of year! Save the date for our Spring Book Fair! Monday, March 30th, from 3:35-7:00 in the small gym at Meadowlark Ridge Elementary. The books will arrive this coming week for the students to preview during their library time, and the flyer with book fair information will be coming home with your student. We can't wait to see you there!

Students in grades K-2 enjoyed time with the amazing storyteller Priscilla Howe today! They heard so many fun and engaging stories and I’m sure they can share a story they heard if you ask them!

It’s reading buddy day in the library! I’m so thankful to be surrounded by all these readers and leaders! The Meadowlark library is a great place to be!

Today's the day you can begin shopping online for our book fair! Use the link below if you'd like to shop online. Our in-person book fair will be on Wednesday, Oct 15th, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Thursday, Oct 16th, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the small gym.

Our book fair is next week! Come see us in the small gym during parent-teacher conferences on October 15th and October 16th. The book fair will be open during conference times on Wednesday evening and all day Thursday. See you there!

Students from Meadowlark, along with other Salina students, enjoyed a day celebrating the WAW winners - Katherine Applegate and Gordon Korman. Books were signed and great memories were made!

Tomorrow is the big day! I’m so excited to welcome everyone back to the library this year. The books have missed you all summer and can’t wait to be in your hands again! See you soon!

It’s been a busy time in our library! We celebrated 94 students who qualified for our WAW Book Club! What an amazing group of readers!! Thank you to our amazing PTO for supporting our students and making this celebration possible!

Here’s another terrific grant to celebrate on World Book Day!
Katie Lidgett, Library Media Specialist at Sunset Elementary, is receiving an Outside-the-Box Grant to benefit all of our elementary school libraries! Congratulations to all, and a huge thank you to our donors who make these grants possible.
The Book Break program is a successful program that involves two virtual author visits each month. The program promotes excitement among the students to read books by the authors involved in the virtual program. The author visits can be done live or watched by recording, allowing flexibility for teachers and schools. The program also supplies pre- and post-lesson ideas. SEF is excited to help provide funding for this program at our schools!
