This week in Preschool we continued studying about the Letter: P, color:Orange, Shape: Triangle and the Number: 7.

We talked about Pumpkins and how they grow and what they are made of. We also discussed what we can make with Pumpkins.

We did a few crafts. Painting pumpkins with a potatoe masher, and glueing orange paper to fill a pumpkin. We also worked some small fine motor skills by putting beads on pipe cleaners to make a pumpkin and an ear of corn.

Our younger friends also joined us in coloring pumpkins and hydro dipping pumpkins.

Next week we will be focusing our studies on Halloween. Stay tuned

Oh we had so much fun this week in preschool. We continued our learning the letter G, shape Oval, color Brown and number 6. We also did a couple fun crafts. The kids all seemed to enjoy it.

Last week we learned the letter F an all about Fall.

School is underway for the bigs and they are off to new adventures. Here we started preschool for the next group. What an eager and fun little group we have. This week our theme was “All about me”. We have learned the letter M, shape Circle, color Green and the number 7.

Next week is a very short week due to Miss Ticia going on vacation so we will continue with the same things. The day after labor day we will begin with a new theme,letter,number, color and shape.

Keep working with your child on the things they have been working on this week. Our children learn by repetition.

Some exciting news to share with our families. We as a childcare home have adopted one of the public lending libraries that they have around Salina. It is our responsibility to make sure it is clean, in good condition and filled with books supplied by the city library weekly.

This is one of our Community Services we are doing another one we are going to help with is called a "white out" this is a campaign to help one of our places in Salina that help families out when they are in needed. The Ashby House. We will be collecting paper goods for the Ashby house. Give as you can. We need paper goods such as:
* Paper Towels
*Toilet paper
*Paper plates
*Napkins
*Kleenex

If you and your child want to bring these items to daycare We will make sure we get them to the proper place.

Community Service is always a good thing to get our kids involved in. It teaches them that there are other's out there that need things and it is okay to lend that helping hand in a healthy way.

Happy Mother’s Day to all my daycare kiddos Moms. thank you for allowing me to be apart of your kids life.

Today we played in the big red tunnel. The littles weren’t sure at first but once they went through there was no stopping them.

Sending a huge Happy 2nd Birthday to our Liam. We hope you have the best day today.

Our preschool friends went to Brookdale Senior Living this morning and did a craft with our elderly friends. A fun time was had by all.
