Oakdale Elementary

On Saturday, six current and former Oakdale students joined 66 students from across the district for the 74th William Allen White Book Award Ceremony in Emporia!

Students enjoyed meeting the winning author, hearing author speeches, receiving a signed copy of the winning book, touring William Allen White’s home, and exploring Peter Pan Park. It was a wonderful day!

Thank you to our students, parents, librarians, and the Salina Education Foundation for making this special experience possible!

Each month, teachers will select students who demonstrate the current Character Trait we are learning about. Our first Trait was KINDNESS ✨️ ...and now we're focusing on RESPECT!
