STATE BOUND.
Congratulations Monarchs! 🦬
TMP-Marian baseball is headed back to the 2-1A state tournament after a dominant regional run.
The Monarchs rolled through postseason play with a 13-0 win over Skyline in the opening round, followed by a 9-0 semifinal victory over Medicine Lodge before closing things out with a 16-1 regional championship win over Little River.
TMP has looked like one of the premier baseball teams in Kansas all spring long and now takes a 27-1 record into the state tournament.
The Monarchs have been loaded on the mound led by Carson Liles, who is 9-0 with a 2.17 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 42 innings. Ty Schmeidler has added a dominant 5-0 record with a 1.18 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 41.2 innings, while Caden Dinkel is 6-0 with a 1.40 ERA. Logan Baalmann (4-0, 26 Ks) and Grant Nehls (2-1, 22 Ks) have also given TMP tremendous depth on the mound.
Offensively, the Monarchs feature multiple hitters batting over .400. Ty Schmeidler is hitting .549, Caden Dinkel .538, Trevor Fabrizius .467, Kenneth Walker .429, Logan Baalmann .424 and Grant Nehls .403.
An impressive all-around club that has dominated in every phase entering the final week of the season.

Last summer, we were able to attend a Papal Audience with Pope Leo, and we are making plans to do it again next summer!
Make plans to join Fr. Luke, Fr. Kade, and others from across the Diocese of Salina on an unforgettable pilgrimage to Italy!
Students in the Classes of 2027, 2028, and 2029 from Catholic schools, public schools, and home schools are invited to experience Rome, Siena, Florence, and Assisi through prayer, friendship, adventure, and encounter with Christ.
From St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums to the tomb of Blessed Carlo Acutis in Assisi, this pilgrimage is designed to help young people grow deeper in their Catholic faith while experiencing the beauty of Italy together.
We believe students will return home on fire for their faith and excited to share their experience within their schools, parishes, and communities.
