With a degree in recreation and over 30 years of working with horses, I have been able to combine my academic background with my personal love of horses. I feel lucky that as a kid I was able to ride for hours and learned to appreciate and understand horses. As an adult, I feel fortunate to work with others who want to pursue their interest in horses and horseback riding. I love what I do! The sat
isfaction I get from seeing how much others can gain from their experience motivates me to be both a dedicated teacher and horse trainer. An appreciation and understanding of horses, increased confidence, the joy of accomplishment, and the sheer fun of riding are rewards everyone can achieve. I teach students of all ages and abilities
I have been teaching in Fort Collins and Wellington for close to 5 years. I am committed to providing students with individualized instruction that maximizes their learning and mastery of riding. I have taught children and adults who were first-time riders. I have worked with riders of all ages with previous experience who wanted to enhance or rebuild their skills. In addition, I have successfully worked with individuals who have disabilities or other physical limitations that require accommodation in their riding techniques and style. As a mom of two young boys of my own, I not only love being around children, I also have strong interest in teaching moms who took a break from riding to tend to their young child(ren), and now want to "get back in the saddle" again! Then there are those who always dreamed of riding, but never had the chance to take lessons. If you have an interest, I would welcome the opportunity to support you in your goals as a rider.
