Trip Highlight: Alan Cammack’s Gunny Gorge Trip
Trip Notes:
“Ryan W. and Michelle M. were my crew. Michelle is a BLM staff of the area and knows the logistics well. It was a really great random 1 night camping trip. 4x4 road gets you to the putin trailhead, then you load your gear onto a pack horse for the steep trail down to the river. Small rafts can go and this is a popular overnight with the fly fishing crowd. We had a lovely camp out of UL setup in our creekboats.”

Canoeing is fun! Check out this great writeup from our friends over at RiverBent. There you’ll find our conversation about getting into whitewater canoeing and some great ideas to get yourself started. Then… come talk to us about getting a canoe paddle in your hands and seeing what it’s all about!
Thinking of trying whitewater canoeing? Open canoes add a thrilling new perspective to familiar runs—get your outfitting right, master the cross-bow stroke, and practice using edges in easy Class II water. 🤘 Take a lesson early, bring proper flotation and a curved paddle, and you’ll progress fast—give it a try this season! 🛶

Super stoked to be working with the amazing Tommy Gram-Ahlene of Whitewater Attainment again this summer. Always a great time!
Excited to collaborate with Canyon River Instruction again this season.
This summer we’re teaming up for the ACA Level 5 Kayak Instructor Upgrade, a big step for instructors looking to move into Class IV teaching and sharpen decision making, rescue skills, and instructional presence in more complex environments.
This is a hands-on, on-the-water course built for experienced L4 instructors ready to take the next step. If that’s you, this is a solid opportunity to level up.
