WiseMind’s Navigating Stress microcredential was offered this week to students at Team Oregon Build - Camp Ready2Respond. As the camp’s lead once said, “so-called soft skills are sometimes the hardest skills”.

Students learned how stress reduces our brain’s capacity to process information, collaborate, problem-solve, and make decisions. They learned WiseMind’s framework for mapping their stress patterns and practiced physiological tools for stress recovery.

Thank you to the counseling team, for showing up and learning WiseMind’s Navigating Stress framework, then turning around and teaching it to their student groups.

Thank you to the Ready2Respond team, for seeing the value in emotional resilience alongside other workforce development and readiness skills.

🤝 She built partnerships with schools and community organizations.
💰 She secured hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding.
🚀 And now she's scaling her impact through the Stress Reset App and workforce-readiness training programs.

As the Founder & CEO of WiseMind Educational Services, Jenifer is on a mission to make evidence-informed resilience tools accessible to every student in Oregon, and eventually, young people everywhere.

The numbers speak for themselves:

✨ Programs spanning K-12, early childhood, workforce readiness, and beyond.

But what inspires us most isn't the growth.

It's that WiseMind started with one educator asking:
"What if every young person had the tools to navigate stress before it became a crisis?"

Grateful to our friends in supporting rural communities for this feature article on our direct service programming.🎉

In Oregon, school counselors serve an average of 345 students each, and many rural or remote areas have no mental health providers at all. Jenifer Trivelli of WiseMind Educational Services has seen the impacts of this student stress firsthand. WiseMind began as a coaching program to give students and their teachers a shared toolkit they can use to change their focus, reduce stress, and help ground them.

Educators, we’ve spent years naming what’s not working.

What’s being asking for now is practical support — simple, effective tools that resource students and adults.

And not just classroom teachers - we need to invest in meaningfully equipping our IAs and bus drivers - anyone who interacts with our students.

Awareness was the beginning.
Capacity is the next step.

We’re honored that Willamette Health Council chose us for the very first story in their new Community Impact series!

Their feature highlights our work with students and educators across Marion and Polk counties — bringing simple, evidence-based tools that help young people feel resourced, grounded, and connected.

A note on language that feels important to us: where the article mentions students learning to feel calm, what we’re actually supporting is a state of coherence — a balanced, resourced nervous system that is energized, curious, and open to learning. Sometimes, that doesn’t look or feel calm, and every student defines their own ideal based on their experiences and cultural context.
