Gus and Gertie have been keeping a BIG SECRET all summer long… 🤫👀 And they CAN’T WAIT to introduce you to our new best friend! ❤️🖤🪿

Come join us for Open House on Monday, August 24, from 4:00–5:30 PM to meet our newest member of the Southeast family! We have a feeling you’re going to LOVE them! 🥰

📚 First Day of School: Thursday, August 27

🥣 Breakfast: Available for ALL students!

Happy campers at Southeast! 🏕️☀️

Last week, our staff hosted “Quaker Camp” a day full of hands-on fun, learning, and adventure as students traveled from station to station participating in a variety of activities!

Thanks to our fundraising efforts, students had a blast enjoying the giant slide and obstacle course inflatables. We also welcomed University of Mount Union, who taught students all about bird migration, and Beaver Creek Wildlife Education Center, who brought both live and preserved animals for students to see and touch up close.

Throughout the day students updated our rock garden, made cotton candy, learned about Rube Goldberg and built their own marble runs, played Can Jam and bean bag toss, made bracelets, created skits, and enjoyed delicious s’mores. To top it all off, Compco surprised our students with Kona Ice. It was the perfect treat to end an amazing day!

A huge thank you to Officer Collins from the City of Salem Ohio Police Department for visiting Southeast and speaking with our students about scooter and bicycle safety! 🚲🛴 Students learned important safety tips such as always wearing a helmet, looking both ways before crossing streets, staying alert to traffic, and following road and sidewalk rules.

Congratulations to Mrs. Carlisle’s Homeroom for winning the May Attendance Challenge! 🎉 Although the weather kept us from heading to the park, students still had a blast enjoying free time in the gym and celebrating with pizza! 🍕 Great job showing up and making attendance count every day!

Field Day was a huge success on Friday! Our students had an amazing time competing and cheering each other on during activities like the 4x100 relay, ga ga ball, volleyball, pickleball, water games, knockout, and we wrapped up the day with an epic tug-o-war!

Our students wore them proudly today during Field Day and will wear them again for our annual kickball tournament, and we could not be more excited! The shirts turned out amazing, and your generosity helped make these fun memories even more special for our students.

Happy Nurse’s Day to Southeast’s favorite nurse, Mrs. Brown! 💙

She’s the glue that holds us all together, the watcher, the caretaker, and everyone’s bestie when they need it most. From bumps and bruises to big worries, Mrs. Brown is always there with a calm smile and a caring heart.

We truly would be lost without her taking care of us each and every day. Thank you for everything you do, Mrs. Brown! Today we celebrate YOU! 🎉

🍦🎉 Sweet Success for Great Attendance! 🎉🍦

A big congratulations to the students in Mrs. Blair’s homeroom for being our Southeast April Attendance Winners! 👏 This was a very close race, and their dedication to being at school every day truly paid off. We know that attendance is so important for learning and success, and this group showed what commitment looks like!

To celebrate, they enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon at PravesCraves , where they were treated to some delicious ice cream. 😋
