Hi Ballyntyne Families and Friends,

After nine wonderful years of outdoor adventures, learning, and community, this season will be our last in the farm’s current form. The decision wasn’t made lightly. As many of you know, Brandon and I have two young children, and balancing full-time work, family life, and running the farm has been both incredibly rewarding and challenging. We’ve poured our hearts into Ballyntyne, and now feels like the right time to press pause for a while and focus on our family. šŸŒ»šŸŒž

Ballyntyne Learning Farm has grown and changed right alongside the children who have come here. When we first opened in 2017, it was just small, two-hour events for toddlers/parents. Soon, we expanded into slightly longer camps for older kids. When COVID hit, we restructured again and eventually evolved into what we offer today—full days from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for kids ages 6–9.

Over the years, the farm has welcomed goats, llamas, and cows, and our programming has blossomed to include guest teachers, exciting experiments, hands-on activities, and unique learning topics. We’ve had the joy of seeing children who first attended at age 2 or 3 grow up, ā€œage outā€ of the program, and move on to new adventures—many from families who have been with us every step of the way. We are so thankful for your trust and support through every stage.

Our final camp day will be Friday, October 17, 2025, and we’d love for you to join us to celebrate, reminisce, and make a few last memories together. And even after the last camp ends, we’d love to stay connected—please don’t hesitate to reach out or share an update. Hearing from you means the world to us.

While this chapter is closing, we don’t see it as a goodbye forever—just a shift. In the future, there may be new ways for the community to experience the farm, and we look forward to sharing those possibilities when the time comes.

We hope to see you on October 17th to give this season—and this chapter—the joyful sendoff it deserves.

With Gratitude,

The Sheriers (along with the goats, cows, pond critters, and llama too!)
