Abiqua School is creating its first-ever Director of Advancement role, and with it, a rare opportunity for a fundraising professional to build an advancement program from the ground up.

Located in Salem, Oregon, Abiqua is a thriving independent PK–8 school known for its whole-child approach to education, strong community culture, and commitment to developing confident, compassionate learners. As the inaugural advancement leader, you'll partner closely with the Head of School and Board of Trustees to shape fundraising strategy, build donor relationships, establish systems and infrastructure, and create a culture of philanthropy that will support the school's future growth.

Recently, we welcomed back former Griffins for a special Parade of Honor, celebrating graduating seniors from area high schools who once walked the halls of Abiqua.

As our current students cheered them on, these graduates returned to campus to reflect on their journeys and celebrate this exciting milestone together.

It was a meaningful reminder that although our students may leave Abiqua, they will always remain part of the Griffin community.

Our intermediate students recently put their science skills to the test during a hands-on frog dissection lab!

With curiosity, focus, and plenty of thoughtful observation, students explored anatomy up close, deepening their understanding of life science through real world investigation.

Experiences like these encourage critical thinking, scientific discovery, and the confidence to ask big questions, all while making learning unforgettable.

🏕️🌲 Adventure, Discovery, and Connection at Camp Tapawingo 🌲🏕️

Our intermediate students recently returned from an unforgettable three-day adventure at Camp Tapawingo, where learning extended far beyond the classroom walls.

Through outdoor exploration, team-building activities, and shared experiences in nature, students strengthened friendships, built confidence, and discovered new skills along the way. From exploring the outdoors to making lifelong memories together, this trip was filled with growth, curiosity, and connection.

Experiences like these help students step outside their comfort zones, deepen their sense of community, and create learning moments that last far beyond the trip itself.
