✨May Preschool Recap✨

This month, we spent a lot of time learning about animals. We explored what they ate, how to take care of them and so much more.

We were also fortunate to have several special visitors. The library visited and shared the joy of reading with us, encouraging us to keep turning pages all summer long. We welcomed local police officers who taught us about safety and their important role in our community. We also had a special visit from firefighters, who showed us their equipment and taught valuable fire safety.

As the school year comes to an end, we are so proud of all our students and what they have learned and accomplished this year! It’s been a wonderful year of growth, friendship and memorable experiences. A special thank you goes out to all the wonderful families who let us love and teach their children everyday! We hope you have a safe, happy, relaxing summer.

While this school year is over we are excited to chug into summer with lots of fun, sunshine, and new memories.

🌟PRE-K APRIL RECAP🌟
April FLEW by, and May isn't slowing down. Last month, we got up to lots of fun things in PreK including....

-We matched uppercase and lowercase letters using Easter eggs
-We got our caterpillars! We watched them grow from tiny caterpillars into their chrysalis. We observed our caterpillars weekly and drew our observations.
-We got new toys in our housekeeping! We have been playing salon for WEEKS and the kiddos really enjoying doing their teachers' hair.
-We had fun in Gymsters doing obstacle courses, working on our gross motor skills such as balancing, skipping, galloping, jumping, and much more!
-We started to measure classroom items using pompoms, counting cubes, and crayons!
-We also tackled 3D shapes through play and matching them on a ferris wheel.
-We sorted pompoms based on color and size
-We made aprons for Mother's Tea
-The kiddos were then challenged to use nothing but their face muscles to get a cookie from their eye to their mouth.

It is hard to believe that the school year is over next week and that most of these kiddos graduate. We are savoring every moment left!

Last week, PreK celebrated all of their super moms with their annual Mother's Tea. Students made aprons for their moms and grandmas and gifted them, then they sang a few songs before sitting down to enjoy some Hulk pudding and Thor hammers that they made earlier that day. We would like to thank all of the moms that came and joined us for an evening and allowed us to pamper them in celebration of their greatness.

Last week, we had some special visitors! We had Officer Edge from the Salem Police Department come in last Tuesday and talk to our preschool and prek classes about summer safety. Friday, we had the wonderful gentlemen from the Salem Fire Department come in and talk to the kiddos about fire safety. We thank the City of Salem and our wonderful first responders for all of their hard work and for taking the time to come in and speak to our classes.
