PVMHS hosts cookie gram fundraiser in memory of Jason Bernard PEABODY — A cookie gram fundraiser in honor of the late Peabody teen Jason Bernard is underway at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School.

As a part of the City of Salem's celebration of Women's History month, we are proud to honor local hero Janet Puleo, community volunteer and leader.

"Janet volunteers a significant amount of time for the Salem Children's Charity, handling all of the logistics for the annual Christmas fundraising event as well as other behind-the-scenes work. She works in the City of Salem Clerk's office and brings that same energy when she works the polls and in the office. This year, Mayor Dominick Pangallo and the City of Salem are highlighting the strength, resilience, contributions and achievements of everyday heroes in our community throughout Women's History Month.

Another proud moment for our Witches! Congratulations to the SHS Jazz Band for their Gold Medal win 🥇

Quite a day...

HUGE congratulations to the Salem High School Jazz Band -- Gold medalists at the Massachusetts Association for Jazz Education (MAJE) State Festival today at Norton High School. The SHS Jazz Band will be performing at The Hatch Shell at a date and time to be announced.

And (photo coming), SHS percussion ensemble placed first at the New England Scholastic Bands Association (NESBA) Winter Percussion and Guard Competition at Salem (NH) High School.

Just in these past few months, we have:

- Helped a child who was being bullied move back to his home and previous school in Salem.
- Helped three child victims of a pedestrian traffic accident have a better Christmas
- Given dozens of children Market Basket food assistance and Target and Walmart gift cards
- Signed up multiple students in need for youth sports program registration and other structured extracurricular activities
- Paid for kids to register and join structured after school programs such as the YMCA and Boys and Girls Club.
- Donated thousands to our charitable community partners such as The Clothing Connection, Mamas Unidas, Timmy's Angels, etc.
- And much, much more!

We sincerely thank you, as we definitely would not be able to coordinate these wonderful gestures without your loyalty and generosity!

MONDAY, MARCH 9th from 4-8 PM - Our faithful crew will be taking our party to Longboards Restaurant & Bar on Pickering Wharf (76 Wharf Street, Salem, MA).

Come party with us ....and LONGBOARDS will generously donate 20% of all dine-in food orders during those hours to SALEM CHILDREN's CHARITY!

Bring some cash too.... as we will have a 50/50 raffle to be drawn exactly at 7:30 PM - you don't have to be present to win - just leave your cell phone number and we will find you!

As usual, ALL PROCEEDS will go directly to help Salem's school children and their families!

The difference you have helped us make throughout the years since the original party in December of 1994 cannot be accurately stated through simple words. Come see it for yourselves on MONDAY NIGHT!

Merry Christmas my friends. 🎄 🎁

On Christmas Eve we dropped off the final Xmas gift cards to the family of the three young boys hit by a car on Congress earlier this month. Also between stops we gave a CMS kid new basketball shoes after he made the team with improved behavior. Not to mention sponsoring two needy SHS kids to pursue their athletic dreams via winter sports clinic registrations.

And that’s what it’s all about , my friends . ❤️
