This week, the West Salem PTA had the privilege of celebrating two very special fourth grade teachers as they prepare for new chapters ahead.

After an incredible 29 years of teaching at West Salem Elementary, Ms. Edwards will be retiring at the end of this school year. Over nearly three decades, she has impacted countless students and families, helping shape young minds with dedication, patience, and care. Thank you, Ms. Edwards, for the lasting difference you have made in our school community.

We will also be saying goodbye to Mr. Watty, who will be leaving West Salem to teach at a school closer to home. Mr. Watty has been such a valued part of our fourth grade team, and he will be greatly missed by students, families, and staff alike.

As a small token of appreciation, the PTA presented both teachers with gift baskets to thank them for the impact they have made on our students and school community. We are so grateful for everything Ms. Edwards and Mr. Watty have done for our Little Cardinals, and we wish them both the very best in the future!

Our Hospitality Committee kept the Teacher Appreciation Week celebrations going today with delicious smoothies for our amazing staff! A huge thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this week so special for our teachers and staff. Your generosity and support mean so much to our school community!
